We won an Australian International Design Award!
Family by Family has won Best in Category in Service Design at the 2012 Australian International Design Awards.
Presented by Good Design Australia, the Australian International Design Awards are Australia’s oldest and most prestigious design awards. The awards aim to raise awareness of the importance of good design, and encourage greater demand for well-designed stuff as well as showing the world how awesome design is in Australia.
Family by Family was praised for its “really authentic application of the design process to a problem space”. Over 100 families in Marion, South Australia helped to design Family by Family to create a solution that enables families to thrive, not just survive.
The judges said that “The solution feels to be perfectly attuned to the people involved” which makes sense since you all designed Family by Family so wonderfully!
