Sharing Family
Abagail, Gabriel and their family came to Australia in 2004 from a refugee camp in Ghana. They became a sharing family approximately 3 years ago. Although they already enjoyed helping new arrivals in their own community they wanted to offer more help to more people.
They have all really enjoyed meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures, helping them practically while also learning from what makes them unique. Their children enjoy meeting other children and having the opportunity to be role models. The family finds it very rewarding seeing people making the change that they want to make in their lives.
Josephine, Sim & family have experienced being both a sharing and a seeking family. They love being friendly, dependable and cooking great food.
May, Khalid and their family immigrated to Australia from Iraq. They first became a Seeking family as they wanted assistance to learn more about Australian Culture. They then wanted to give back to the community and became a Sharing family with Family by Family 3 years ago.
Leticia and Charlie value treating other with respect, treating people equally and honesty. They enjoy making the most of life and getting out and having fun.
